With the great increase of the development of hydro power resource in recent years in China, the 8 leading hydro power development companies have sped up their steps in thirteen hydropower construction bases which have brought a rare historic opportunity to the hydro power construction companies. These construction companies have different market shares on account of their different qualification and capability. However as the construction contractor for the hydropower construction companies, they must meet the requirement of the employer. Therefore on the basis of the studies and analysis on the installation schedules of the mechanical & electrical equipment of overseas and national hydro power station, this thesis analyzes the method of working out installation schedule, the features of the installation work and relevant factors. Builds the WBS model, which is taken as the base of developing the quality, schedule and cost plans and also the base of determining construction sequences and process controlling; so discuss the installation resources such as construction manpower, construction equipment and construction material with examples of resource disposure ine mechanical & electrical equipment installation of hydropower station.Besides, this thesis studies the optimization method of the installation schedule for the mechanical & electrical equipment of hydro power station and analyzes the effect by giving examples. At the end of this thesis, mechanical & electrical equipment installation in Jinghong hydropower station is given as an example to explain how to optimize the installation schedule and how to allocate the installation resources.
