The construction catwalk structure of a suspension bridge is long, light, soft and sensitive to dynamic effect, have to adopt some measure to advance it's stability of breeze to flap. In our country the connecting ropes and outside cable haven't yet been adopt in catwalks This paper carry on a research on the coupling rope and outside cable, make sure their vibration inhibiting in the catwalk and get the constitution standard in the catwalk though data analysis. In addition also carry on an examination experiment research to the catwalk vortex resonance, the purpose is to get the changing condition of vortex street around the catwalk under the different ventilated rate in side and the bottom net.Take the catwalk of Sidu river bridge for example, establish the catwalk experiment model at Chang-an university wind tunnel laboratory. On it's foundation constitute coupling rope and outside cable , changing parameters have experiment, analyze the variety of damp and the motive characteristic of catwalk in front and back setting vibration inhibiting measure, Among them, at the side of outside cable also carried on a finite element contrast. Passing contrast to experiment result to get the constitution standard of coupling rope and outside cable, provides the reference for its application in catwalk of suspension bridge.On the research aspect of catwalk's vortex resonance examination experiment though establish catwalk experiment model, change ventilated rate at side net and bottom net in wind tunnel one by one, analyze the changing condition of vortex street under different ventilated rate at different position, get the influent degree to the vortex street appearance around the catwalk with the changing of the side and bottom net ventilated rate. This research will have reference action for the suspension bridge catwalk and anti- breeze design of net structure.This paper mainly takes experiment and calculation as study means, passing data analysis and contrast to get some conclusions which have application value. Provide an emollient theories reference for the design, construction unit of the catwalk and scientific research. Also provide a terrace for the catwalk theories to research more breadth and more deeply.
