This paper is one part of the "Research on the Catwalk of Suspension Bridge", which introduces trigonal force measurement and presents researches on the static stability analysis of the catwalk as listed below:1,The function, constitution details and design principles of the catwalk are reviewed and the catwalk nonlinear structural analysis theory is particularly presented.2,Take the catwalk of Sidu River Bridge for example, a presentation of static wind force and trigonal force measurement's principle and procedure is given, including processes of the wind resistance static stability analysis by means of finite element.3,In the aspect of wind resistance methods, their effects of deflection control under wind load and capability of increasing static torsional divergence critical wind velocity are presented. Researches on the affects to the results when the dimension and structural form changes are noticed in addition. Comparative Analysis of each aspect of wind resistance methods are given, and reasonable suggestions are provided considering construction difficulty and dynamic behavior.4,Take the catwalk of Sidu River Bridge for example, two calculating methods of mountainous area basic wind velocity are introduced. Their influence to static torsional divergence inspection wind velocity is mentioned.5,Static torsional divergence testing and wind resistance methods analysis of the catwalk of Sidu River Bridge are introduced. The affects of improving the structure wind-resistant behavior of this kind of wind resistance methods are explained in addition. It is expected that the investigation results and methods of calculation and analysis could give a reference to the catwalk design and construction.
