The aim of this paper is to choose a more unified and suitable simple performance test methods for evaluating the Rutting Potential of asphalt mixtures at high temperature. Through comparing and analyzing the testing equipments, experimental conditions and influence factors of the existing test methods, static uniaxial creep tests and repeat creep tests are carried out on SBS modified asphalt mixture havs been put forward. This paper describes research that suggests that static uniaxial creep tests and repeat creep tests, performed with SGC specimens, is potentially a simple test for evaluating the rut resistance of asphalt mixtures. Given the fact that rut usually arising from permanent deformation of mixture under high temperature, static uniaxial creep tests and repeat creep tests are carried out on SBS modified asphalt mixture. Creep properties of base and modified asphalt mixture under different temperature (40℃,50℃,60℃) and load level (0.3MP a,0.5MP a,0.7MP a) are analyzed. Through the uniaxial static creep test obtained stiffness modulus, residual strain ratio and the slope of the second stage of creep and creep test to repeat the stiffness modulus, flow time and the slope parameter b, such as analysis and experimental results and the rut were compared. The study found that the use of SBS Modified Asphalt Mixture of uniaxial static creep test results of residual strain ratio and the slope of the second stage of creep and creep test to repeat the stiffness modulus, flow time and the slope b Rutting test results and have a g- ood correlation can be used as used to evaluate high-temperature resistance of asphalt mix- ture rutting mechanical indicators.
