Turning performance of tracked vehicle, which has become a new research topic, has a great influence on the performance of the entire vehicle and the transmission system life. Hydrodynamic and hydrostatic steering system , composed of hydrostatic steering system and hydraulic coupling, has changed the power shortage condition when tracked vehicle with hydrostatic steering system is in the steering process. The kinematics and dynamics analysis of the steering system and a control system to inhibit pressure fluctuation were discussed in the thesis. The main research contents are as follows:1.Summarized the characteristics of tracked vehicle steering development course, domestic and foreign present research states and development trend of the steering devices.2.Transfer function method was used in modeling hydrodynamic and hydrostatic steering system. Model of pump-control-motor was built up. A detailed analysis of partially filled fluid coupling characteristics was carried on in this thesis.3.The principle of electro-hydraulic similarity was used in hydraulic system modeling. Models of hydraulic components were set up .Topological thinking and strategy was also carried on to complete the pump-control-motor system modeling and analysis.4.The reasons of pressure fluctuations were analysed . Electric-hydraulic proportional valve was utilized instead of oil-filled valve to inhibit pressure flutuations. A PID controller based on Genetic Algorithm was used in optimization process.
