Almost all cars have assembled power steering system today, first in order to reducethe labor intensity of the vehicle, and improve the vehicle’s driving comfort. But thedeveloping direction of modern steering system is by the application of new technology,to reduce energy consumption and pollution to the environment, and based on thedynamical characteristics of fine design, to provide a different feel feedback for drivers,highlight models characteristics, bring more fun to drive.Considering the oil resources nervous, serious environmental pollution and so on,this article in view of the commercial vehicle steering system in the filed of electrichydraulic power steering technology is missing, research and development a set ofelectric hydraulic power steering system (EHPS) that is applied in commercial vehicle.This article through to the EHPS domestic and foreign research present situation and theanalysis of the latest development trend, combined with the theoretical knowledge,design a new type of EHPS system, and introduces in detail the system design scheme,working principle and advantages. The article first calculate and select on the new partsused in EHPS system, it is concluded that a set of safety, strong practicability of the newsystem, at the same time used the develop software Tasking to write program and verifythe changes about EHPS system, and make simulation of hydraulic part of the steeringsysterm by AMESim, verify the feasibility of the hydraulic aspect of the new system. Thelatter describe the bench test and the real vehicle experiment, verified the correctness ofthe design, the fesibility of the system, proved the superiority of the EHPS system whichused in commercial vehicle.Mentioned a new type of EHPS system is combines all the advantages of traditionalhydraulic power steering system and electric power steering system, with power variablefeatures, give the driver a good road sense, reducing energy consumption, etc. Because ofits excellent performance energy conservation and environmental protection features tomeet the requirement of the development of future steering technology.
