City water supply network are indispensable basic establishment for city facilities. Water supply network will be responsible for supplying qualified water to all users safely. Once the water pipe burst accident occurs, the livelihood of people will suffer great inconvenience. The GIS platform has features of spatial data management, data visualization, analysis simulation, and integration with other system, the application of the platform in city water supply has been developed rapidly.The current domestic research of pipe cracking, are mainly in the traditional analysis of descriptive statistics, that is, through the factors of pipe material and age, planting age, season and so on, to analyze the potential cracking of pipeline. There is no combination of factors such as stress, flow, etc. In this paper, we combine a number of factors with dynamic date access to the city water supply network by GIS platform, to research the warning model of GIS-based city water supply pipes network burst.This paper aims to use GIS platform monitoring and warning the water supply network by computer. Specific as follows: The theoretical analysis model of building a pipeline network, to get accurate data of the free stress; compare the historical data with free stress data, and establish a primary warning model of city pipes network burst; use experimental data to verify and correct model, finally design and implement the city water supply pipes network burst warning model.
