Packing Development And The Research On Inspection Technology For Infectious Substance (Division 6.2)

Infectious Substance is on the list of the nine categories of hazardous materials in diversion 6.2,《Recommendations on the transport of dangerous goods》. Its package form can't be classified into the three traditional package forms for the hazardous materials. With the development of technology and requirement on medical research, the transportation of Infectious Substance is increasing quickly in recent years. In fact, Bio-technology is one of the most competitive industries with great potential the 21st century. Because of the particularity of the management of the Infectious Substance, we usually import the relating package. However, lacking in research on developing new productions and testing technologies in this area has resulted in the backward of the production, usage and testing of Infectious Substance. In order to resolve this problem, it is necessary for us to focus on the development of the package and the testing, as well as the testing standard of Infectious Substance.One of the aims of this research, is to study the characteristics of Infectious Substances and the points need to be emphasized during the transportation, under the direction of rules and regulations such as《UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods》and existed packing materials, designing and developing secure and economic productions for the package of Infectious Substances through modern theory of designing and packaging.2 sets of A packing products,5 sets of B packing products have been finished and a series of Infectious substance packing products is completed. Their quality has reached or exceeded similar products in the world and been widely used.Another aim of the research is to explore the method of testing the package of Infectious Substances and to establish methods on testing falling, piercing, air impermeability and liquid pressure experiments under the requirements about Infectious Substances in《International Civil Aviation Organization》and World Health Organization, Two national regulations on Infectious substances packing testing are setup to unify Infectious substances packing testing.
