| Kashi, a city in Xinjiang, is a multi-ethnic region with Uygurs as the majority of the people. It has got long and rich folk customs and has become the only national-level historical and cultural city in Xinjiang. The constructive goal of Kashi at the moment is"enlarging the city's dimension, casting the city's vigorous spirit, cultivating the city's beauty, probing into the city's soul", turning it into the center of central and south Asia economic circle, and becoming"west Shenzheng".Basing on the analysis of detailed exploration of the modern cityscape's decorative arts in Kashi( architectural ornament patterns , city sculpture, city wall paintings), this paper centers about the disadvantages of the modern cityscape's decorative arts in Kashi, and combines people-oriented design principles with idea of advancing Xinjiang's traditional culture together, in order to make a prospective study of Kashi's modern cityscape decorative arts ,aims to provide reference and recommendations for practical analysis of cityscape's decorative arts and the creation of city's cultural environment. With the purpose to let decorative arts do a better job for all kinds of artistic carrier, and play a greater part in modern city construction and people's life, and acquire more development space for itself.The design concepts of decorative arts in Kashi should be centered on regional ethnic culture. It should de aesthetically pleasing, including Kashi's history review, cultural background, ethnic characteristics and multi-cultural outlook, all of which are the tenet of the decorative arts design. The concepts of modern decorative arts design in Kashi should be people-oriented, its development should take traditional culture as the bottom, with regards to modern people's aesthetic consciousness and new technique, in order to raise the taste of decorative arts. Finally, this paper probes into the forms and methods of the decorative arts creation in Kashi and make a prospective planning and vision of it. |
