Primary Researche On Architecture Of Historical Mansions In The Old City Of Lhasa

Lhasa which is a 1,300 years old highland city is the political, economical, cultural, religious center of Tibetan autonomous region. There are different types of Tibeten architecture which range from a strong national and regional construction, structure,such as Palace,Temple,Residential,Manor,Zongshan,Villa,Mansion.The main contents in this thesis are on mansions which are residential of nobilities in the old city of Lhasa.Using the materials based on investigation, the main line is to analysis the historical mansion's regional characters.The thesis contents three part: part one,the mansion's natural environment and human environment are described in general;part two,there are analysising by seven aspects: the site plan, the plan, elevation, space, configuration, structure and aesthetic,at last I summe up their respective characteristics;part three,it was to explore how to protect and reuse the mansions.First,there is an introduction about the mansion's current situation, and then pointing out the problems.Third the analysis of the mansion's protection characters and use of the method proposed the idea.
