| The vehicle dynamic load caused by road roughness is the main reason of fatigue and premature failure of the pavement. The theory analysis and number simulation are made for vehicle dynamics caused by road roughness. First, road roughness is simulated in the time domain, and then the 3-axle vehicle and the 4-axle trailer models are established for the study of vehicle dynamic load. The effects of road parameters, vehicle velocity and mechanism parameters on dynamic load are simulated through MATLAB. Some valuable theoretical foundation could be provided for the further study of the pavement dynamic response and the pavement design.
