Along with the speedy development of the national economy,the highway freight volume has been rapidly increased. The highways built couple years ago has been unable to meet growing traffic demand. So it's necessary to reconstruction and improve the capacity of their vehicles.Now more and more reconstructions for deteriorated roads have been launching.It's really important and precursory on searching the deteriorated roads' widening and reconstruction technology. It is imperative.Firstly,this dissertation expounds the reconstruction proposals and compairs characteristic with each proposals.Secondly,it carrys out numerical simulation of the old road subgrade widening using finite element method to analize deformation ,subsidence and factor of subgrade widening ,subgrade surface,foundation surface and so on. Then it discusses the processing method of subgrade widening and point out the problems frequently and treatment method and technology. Finally,by analyzing the project of Dian-Han Road,ZaoZhuang,Shandong province,we settle a method how to improve the old road reconstruction quality and enhance economic efficiency.Also give the processing method of old road widening and the quality standard.This achievement of the article is established by the massive practice and the long-term analytical study. It explores some new ideas to desigan and construction for general highway.the ideas are effective,economic,reasonable,saving enery and protecting environment and there is great guiding significance for road reconstruction.
