Studying inland river navigationable condition by small-sized ship models , which can be used for more difficult test of ship trial when real ship can't be ,is a very advanced technology . Began in the 60's, the study of small-sized ship models is widely applied in scientific experiment for its practical value. Especially, in the recent, with the development of inland navigation and high-speed, maximization and diversification of inland ship, has been put forward to the study of inland river navigationable condition by small-sized ship models.Three Gorges Project and inland waterways in our country are very narrow and curved , sometimes changeful, ships in Navigation mainly depend on frequent left and right steering in tiny change . So small-sized ship models in navigation experiment on Three Gorges Project, the indexes of maneuverability are important characteristics for ship's maneuverability. Now with respect to similarity of small-sized ship model's maneuverability , it mainly rely on comparison of K and T indexes between ship and small-sized ship models by z test, aiming to make small-sized ship models'maneuverability similar to the real ships . but ship's K and T indexes obtained by ship's z test is very difficult . At times ,of limited experiment times, the result of ship's z test have a large dispersion. In the text , studying on computation simulation , ship's K and T indexes are calculated by computation simulation, it can bring on practical effect to calibration of the ship's documentation ,and guiding significance to the model calibration of ship's maneuverability.This paper is based on the project of chongqing science foundation. Firstly, we should analyze and arrange existing theory and documentation. Secondly, because of many factors on the indexes of maneuverability, by z test of different types of ships , we must have a good understanding on factors on maneuverability ,such as condition of ship's transport, form coefficient and the size of ships, then find the main factors and have a theoretical on the data. Finally, ship mold elements affecting K .T indices are found by using the method of regression. Finally, the statistical analysis of K and T indexes of z test results is carried out and the formulas of estimating K and T indexes are proposed as wel1.For the more ,the function is realized by software .In the practice, we find that the indices of ship maneuverability have a good precision, practical significance and a guiding significance to the model calibration of ship's maneuverability...
