Study On Planning Of Small And Medium-sized City Road Network

In according to the characteristics of small and medium-sized city road network,the thesis brings forward a whole practical method of planning,which includes forecasting of traffic demand,network programming design method, evaluation indexes and methods of scheme,and project priority order. The emphasis is on forecasting of traffic demand and project priority order.Forecasting of traffic demand is the foundation of the programming design,and small and medium-sized cities enter the period of new emending total programming. The thesis describes the essence of the transportation and land use and the inherent relationship between the transportation and land use. The thesis establishes the relation model of between land use and the traffic demand, simplifies traditional method process, and directly forecasts the traffic demand according the circumstance of land use. The suggestions to the problems of small and medium-sized city road network are put forward in the process of network programming design. In consideration of high density of spur track and low grade in small and medium-sized city and the exertion of network function,two kinds of indexes about road category and connection are chosen to evaluate the network exactly. In the last phase of project priority order, the thesis puts forward to adopt quantitative comparison method of synthesizing to determine the project in each period firstly, then apply investment optimization model that takes total movement time spending at roads as the target to determine the project of trunk road. Project priority order in the near future is determined by considering construction funds and the project of spur track together.In the end, the thesis sets Xianning City as an example using this set of planning method, and receives good effect, which provides the reference for the planning establishment to small and medium-sized city road network.
