As the focus of the WAMS(Wide Area Measurement System),PMU(Phasor Measurement Unit) is responsible for the accurate measurement of the voltage and the current of the important bus in power system,so that the operator can forecast the dynamic behavior of the power system accurately and in real-time.First of all,the framework of the Phasor Measurement System and the signal model of static and dynamic situation are studied in this thesis,And then the four important parts of the system,including the current transformer,the capacitive voltage transformer,the analog low pass filter and the discrete DFT arithmetic,and their influence to the phasor measurement under static and dynamic situation are studied as well;In the end,test the PMU in a lab environment,and the measurement data of the PMU under dynamic and static situation is also assessed.
