It is of great realistic significance to get thermal performance tests indexes for coal-fired power units. Based on analyzing thermodynamic systems of steam turbine, boiler and heat pipes in power station, according to national and international performance test codes, thermal performance test indexes are obtained. Some problems in calculating thermal performance tests indexes are presented against specific conditions of thermodynamic systems of steam turbine, boiler and heat pipes in power station. Simple, easy and practical general models of thermal performance tests indexes for coal-fired power units are established. These models are applied to data processing for thermal performance tests. These not only demonstrate the correctness of the models, but also provide reliable evidence for operating safely and economically, and also lay the foundation for the rules further refinement.
