In this paper,it has described the work principle and characteristics of active magnetic bearing,and has dissertated the magnetic bearings'developing trend and wide range of application areas.the article begins with the analysis of stiffness and damping,has introduced the relationship between stiffness,damping and control system.also anlyzed the mathematical models of a single degree of freedom magnetic levitation control system and obtained the parameter stability domain of PID control system.Through the succeeded description of the status of distributing of critical speed to operating speeds,the object function is constructed by application of fuzzy theory.the choices of design variables have been done by carefully analyzing the factors of critical speed of rotor system.the article set up the mathematics model of optimization.An electrical spindle of magnetic levitation used for Grinding was discussed,a parameterized FEA model of bearing-rotor system was established.the stiffnesses of magnetic bearing were calculated by optimized method,and the best stiffnesses would be got.Finally,calculated the control parameters of PID.
