As a widely applied data recording device, QAR could record abundant information of fight data, which is often employed to assist aircraft trouble-shooting in the field of civil aviation maintenance. However, there are two basic issues existed in the domestic QAR data application: lacks of professional data analyzing tools and effective data monitoring system. Therefore, the research and development of QAR data processing system is essential according to the two issues.Firstly, it is the various theories of aero-engine data monitoring and the method of processing ACARS data in the software of EHM that is discussed, and the way that applied Expert System based on engineering experience is presented to implement QAR data monitoring. Secondly, a discussion about the design of QAR data processing system is made for the purpose of solving the two QAR data application issues and three basic modules of this system, preprocessing of QAR data, tools for manual QAR data analysis and QAR data monitoring, are established. The main function of the first module is to change the data format from CSV to database, so that the negative impact to the QAR data application is eliminated which is brought by the raw format. With the requirement analysis facing real demand, the second module provide engineers professional tools for QAR data analysis, including all kinds of the charts used by engineers, to solve the first issue mentioned above. The third module is an aero-engine QAR data monitoring platform covering three monitoring logics, which are from the theories and methods preparation above and the second issue is partly solved. Finally, an introduction of the whole system is given and a function test based on real data is made, which could, to some extant, certificate that the monitoring platform is able to realize the junior function of aero-engine QAR data monitoring. The research results are valuable to the theory and development of QAR data application.
