Aero-engine is the heart of the aircraft. Its security and reliability is very important to protectflight safety and enhance fighter’s combat effectiveness. Modern aero-engine is complex and workunder harsh conditions such as high temperature, high speed. So between the development, production,testing, and the actual running of the engine, it is very important to carry out real-time monitoring andfault diagnosis on its running state.As a large and complex mechanical system, wearing failure is one of the common faults whenaero-engine is running. It is seriously affecting the security, reliability and efficiency of its operation.Therefore, the monitoring and control of oil debris is represented in aero-engine tribology systemmonitoring technology. It plays an important role in the process of parts manufacturing and assembly,engine assembly, factory testing, inspection and testing, and the actual running of the engine.The research work mainly includes the following three aspects. Firstly, we carry on threeexperimentes on the basis of in-depth research in the parts manufacturing and assembly and enginetest process. They are the engine assembly cleanliness monitoring experiment, engine factories andtesting long-term pollution and wear debris monitoring experiment, trial run engine wear conditionmonitoring and fault diagnosis experiment. Secondly, we develop the fluidic images monitoring andanalysis system and take detailed analyses of oil debris. Finally, we use classical mathematics andnew technology, new methods of related areas unified. Thereby we fully exploit oil debris carriesinformation and improve the monitoring of engine oil granule scientific and accurate.The research work presentes a large quantity of debris characteristics parameters, and especiallymakes a thorough study on cleanliness monitoring of engine parts and engine assembly and testmonitoring, factory monitoring. We make a study on aero-engine lubricating oil monitoring andcontrol. It will fill our theory of condition monitoring of aero-engine. And it provides strongprotection means for the quality control of aero-engine production.
