It could be argued that the development of a city's economy and the people's livelihood are more or less unlikeness. Such a divergence leads the neglect of caring the living environment of the vulnerable groups in the cities. Based on this research foundation, the activity condition and the activity space of the children in the city will be fully analyzed.As the biggest wholesale market, Hanzhengjie has fused commerce and residence as a whole. She is not only the market with a long history, but also a centralized place of living in Hankou. Today, experienced several times reconstruction, she presents us a complex impression: new and modern buildings arise among old and traditional buildings. During the history, such commercial activity brought enormous external population, as a result, the population density increase dramatically as well as the building density.The purpose of this research is to understand the activity mode of the children and the community environment in their daily lives, explore the factors for which alter the living condition and the environment of games during the old city reconstruction and the development of a city. Finally, from the view of a user, to find out the optimal approach to utilized the urban public space .. The object of this research is the interaction between the daily of the children and the community environment. After data sorting, the self-building area has been chosen as the scope of this study, observed and recorded the children as well as their activities, analyzed the using and reorganization of the public space by the children combined with questionnaires. After discussing the findings, a few suggestions are made on the public space improvement of this area by the end of the paper.
