Water-cooled semi-flexible pavement, as a new road structure, which is formed by pouring water-conserving mortars with special gradation into the large gap matrix-asphalt-mixture (voidage is up to 20%--28%). Water-cooled semi-flexible pavement has been carried out research and applied overseas, but in our country, there is little research in such field. Water-cooled semi-flexible pavement is more flexible than concrete and rigid than asphalt concrete. It not only has the advantages of asphalt pavement and cement road, but also shield from the disadvantages. Being used in urban pavement construction, Water-cooled semi-flexible pavement with the feature of cooling has a function of reduce thermal island effect. Therefore, development and study on application have practical significance and development prospects.On the basis of referencing the researches at home and abroad, this paper firstly makes sure that Water Retaining Agent should satisfy two indexes water absorption and porosity. According to the four kinds of water retaining agent A B C D, It carries out mortar mixing ratio test, and mainly researches on water retaining mortar mixing ratio to ascertain cement mortar mixing ratio which can meet the request of mechanical properties fluidity, water-conserving ratio; and explores matrix-asphalt-mixture ratio. Then it probes into the design of asphalt mixture matrix's mix proportion to recommend matrix asphalt mixture's gradation is SFAC-13. It proves that Water-cooled semi-flexible pavement shows good pavement performance (such as high-temperature sTab.ility, water sTab.ility, low-temperature crack resistance and so on ) through indoor test , theory analysis , and comparing with general AC-13 asphalt concrete. It carries out tests on water retention capacity and temperature reducing performance to determine water retention pavement's water retention capacity index in 24h and its temperature reducing performance index in 8h after watering by using wheel tracking plates to simulate the actual pavement, through referencing the semi-flexible pavement construction cases, it puts forward a system of water-cooled semi-flexible pavement construction methods, construction machinery and quality control standards, and lays foundation for popularizing and applying the water-cooled semi-flexible pavement technology.It shows that water-cooled pavement can be widely used in city paving community road pavement, main road and large plaza Pavement. If pave a large area of such road in city, it can improve the urban ecological structure, reduce the urban heat island effect, and optimize the city living environment.
