Analysis Of The Dominant Space Of City Viaducts

With the development of urbanization in our country,lots of traditional urban space has been applied with modern meaning,and so comes the new urban space.As a product of modern city,viaduct is not only a distinctive form of urban space but also a factor influencing the design of cities.Once a viaduct is built,it becomes a regional token and thus transforms the features of the original space and the city scale of the site. Viaduct relieves traffic burden of cities and at the same time brings unfavorable influence that cannot be neglected to them and their surrounding environment.Therefore, this thesis aims at discussing how to handle the relationship between urban space and the mounting viaducts to make the latter preserve and exhibit the best city characteristics and let them become a potent developing place while being used reasonably.The thesis makes intensive analysis of and gives deep thought over the leading space form of city viaducts.Under the instruction of relevant city design and space design theories,the thesis,combining time background,spatial specificity and the idea of sustainable development,probes into the dominant space form and composing characters of viaducts coming with the urbanization process.Based on the analysis of the definition, particularity and present state of the viaducts' leading space,the thesis focuses on discussion about space experience and spatial composition,so as to arose the attention of the public towards local spatial specificity;thus it makes contributions to updating of cities along viaducts and the designs of urban space.
