Research On Relay Protection Setting Expert System In Power Plant

At present most of assistant relay setting software widely used in power system are commonly adaptive to transmission system which rarely used in power plant,while in most domestic power plant,the work of relay setting is done by relay commissioners via manual or semi-automation calculation and is time-consuming and laborious with heavy workload.Based on the study of the application of the expert system in relay setting this paper develops an relay setting expert system in power plant and discusses its' functions and requirements.In accordance with the basis setting rules,combining different relay equipments' characteristics and making the core of data reasoning this expert system is developed via OOP and modularization method.In the system design process we especially emphasize modularization and visualization.The system is mainly composed of 4 modules,graphic modeling,fault analysis,equipment protection setting and database management which are interdependent and interrelated to form a whole.It is particularly important to develop an setting expert system with advanced technology, high intelligence,high integration,good expansibility,accurate and stable operation.
