Structural Realibility Of Coastal Low-Rise Buildings Under Typhoon Action

Based on the study of theory of structural realibility and wind loads characteristics on low-rising buildings home and abroad, this paper discusses systematically and extensively the structural realibility of low-rising buildings under typhoon action.Many kinds of calculation methods of structural realibility are applied.The circumstance of typhoon and the influence of building size ,eave structure ,roof surface material and hole digging to the building structure are discussed.Based on those results , this paper also analizes and concludes the ultimate state of bearing capacity of low-rising buildings under typhoon action together with engineering illustration . An appropriate typhoon resistant scheme for low-rising buildings in typhoon areas is presended,which will certainly benefit the designing and construction of wind-residtant residential houses to some degree .The problem of low-rising buildings against typhoon is a real existing and critical one in the seaside areas of our country where typhoon often occurs .Study results of this paper can provide reference to regions concerned to make corresponding design standard and norns for typhoon-resistant building srtuctures.
