| With the rapid development of the national economy and the acceleration of urbanization process, all kinds of traffic problems and urban land use conflicts become serious. A lot of major cities put forward single center, a number of scattered groups of sub-center-style development model, while conducive to a balanced traffic flow and reduce the rate of travel, but still there are some traffic problems: on the one hand, the Center City group's population, land size and function increase quickly, infrastructure has been optimized to create their own high-density traffic; On the other hand, the Center City District's internal transport network not only to bear its own internal traffic flow, and also need to bear most of the city between groups traffic flow at the same time, resulting in expansion of group traffic, transportation organizations become very difficult. Urban layout and traffic exacerbated by improper selection of the traffic problems in big cities. Urban public transport development selection become an urgent problem which need to be addressed in the implementation of China's urban public transport priority strategies.In this paper, groups of urban passenger transport mode choice were made for the study, using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to build a decentralized mode of public transport mode selection model. Through the research,it could provide a theoretical basis and reference for the choice of transportation patterns.On the basis of the analysis of the common city's main public transport mode (conventional bus, Bus Rapid Transit system, light Rail Transit and subway) technical and economic characteristics, then establishment of the urban public transport development matrix through combination of urban public transport development selection characteristic, using AHP in decision-making to determine the development of urban public transport mode. Finally, taking Changchun City as an example to verify the method proposed by the application and rationality, proposing the development of urban public transport modes.The paper is divided into six chapters; the followings are the major elements of each chapter:Chapter I introduced the background and significance of research, both at home and abroad, as well as major research and technical route. Chapter II introduces several ways based on the urban public transport mode selection. One is the experience law, introduced a few good example at home and abroad in the development of urban public transport , and the other is the Town Planning. The more useful method is AHP. AHP can solve multi-objective optimization decision-making the issue of property for urban public transport model selection.Chapter III introduces the urban form of development and evolution process and the development of several common mode of public transport. Urban public transport and urban land distribution patterns are closely linked. Different urban form and mode of development, the adaptation of public transport modes are different. Were studied in this chapter for the next conventional patterns of urban public transport mode type, suitable for Bus Rapid Transit system, the type of urban form and mode of rail transportation for the urban form type, mass transit are divided into light rail and subway.Chapter IV first introduced the concept of decentralized group city ,analysis of the various groups of urban passenger traffic flow between the components, and analysis of the problems of decentralized group city transportation development. And then from the two aspects of macro-and micro-analysis of the affected residents to choose public transportation when traveling. Finally, analytic hierarchy process to establish public transport selection model of peripheral and central group , solution and analysis of the constructed model.Chapter V on the basis of analyzing urban form development of Changchun City, using constructed public transport selection model, combined with established index weight matrix, calculating the rank of Changchun City public transport modes between the various groups of options, results show that as the development of Changchun City, mass rail transit-oriented, conventional public transit passenger transport modes as a supplement.Chapter VI, summary and outlook. This chapter summarized up the complete contents of the innovation and the subjects to be the further study issue.In this study, the paper combine quantitative with qualitative analysis in the calculation of the level of clarity. this article in the following several aspects of a certain novelty:(1) Taking decentralized group city as an example, making passenger traffic flow analysis, and to study the development problems faced by decentralized group city public transportation.(2) Construction of a selection model of decentralized group city public transport development, establishment of a decentralized group of urban public transportation system chosen indicators ,use of analytic hierarchy process has been to choose the level of the total order weight.
