Along with the application of computer technology in the electric power industry thoroughly, the research and development of device safety and stability for electric network based on computer have been obtained quiet great development and widely used.The original security and stability control equipment of Gezhouba Dajiang Power Plant is the old style of relay protection interlocking shut-down and load tripping device, and the function principle is too old to satisfy the demand of the security and stability control equipment. By further studying and discussing the basic principles, basic requirements and control strategy of new generation security and stability control equipment of power network, aiming at the features of load flow of all outgoing lines, the operation requirement of Yangtze river lowest flow rate to Dajiang power plant units during long dry period, two special electrical brake resistances in Dajiang power plant, and the stability control demand of central china power grid to Gezhouba Dajiang power plant, we have developed a set of Gezhouba Dajiang power plant microcomputer intelligent equipment, with security and stability control device (system). This equipment uses a stability control method with distributed type. Considering electric power system needs extremely high reliability, double microcontroller allocation was adopted in the system design.
