Abstract/Summary:
The problem of city's traffic congestion is a great one in the process of urban development in the world, putting profound impact on the city's social and economic development. In China, with rapid economic development and urbanization, traffic congestion problem of cities, especially the big ones has become more and more serious. Traffic congestion not only brought to the city a series of social problems, such as environment and public safety deterioration, But also reduced the efficiency of the operation of the city and hindered the city's social and economic development. As a result, urban traffic jams need be addressed without any delay. As a mega-citie in central China, Wuhan made great achievement in the socio-economic development, at the same time it faced an increasingly serious problem of urban traffic jams.There are many reasons for urban traffic jams, so it need to diagnose the causes .Some are due to unreasonable road network planning and construction; Some are due to unscientific use of transport facilities; Some are due to inadequate traffic management, putting impact on the efficiency of the use of transport facilities. City traffic jams are often caused by these reasons in a comprehension, And traffic jams points show different characteristics, which can be reflected from the typical urban traffic jams points / sections .Based on this need ,VISSIM Simulation software and DingZiQiao - ZhuodaoQuan traffic data, this issiue mskes traffic simulation of this road section, and makes evaluation on the traffic performance with different parameters.First of all, this article describes the origin and significance of the research, and introduces the status at home and abroad in brief; secondly, analyses the characteristics of Wuhan typical traffic jams points combined with the characteristics of Wuhan City; Thirdly, analyses causes of Wuhan City typical point of the traffic jams From the technical and managerial aspects; Fourth, introduces VISSIM traffic simulation software and the process of its model and calibration; Fifth, simulates current status and interventions of typical traffic jams points of Wuhan, and mskes evaluation of the effects according to the simulation results; Sixth, proposes improvement of the typical traffic jams points in Wuhan; Finally, describe the future direction on the subject of this study.
