This paper is a research on conductivity,temperature rising,deicing and snow melting performance of GSIFCON,based on previous research in the field of mechanics and electrics of graphite slurry infiltrated fiber concrete(GSIFCON).This paper makes some changes to the existing mixture ratio to adapt temperature rising and save material.Afterward,six kinds of specimens are casted for deicing and snow melting.First,resistivities on the 3rd,7th,14th,21st,28th and 45th day are measured and compared. Variations of resistivity with power are tested,and the variety rules are found in the changing of two circles' power.Then the paper analyzes variations of resistivity affected by electrode area and space.Second,densities of mortar are measured to do thermodynamics calculation.Then some parameters of GSIFCON are calculated,such as such as density and specific heat capacity; GSIFCON's excellent mechanics performance is proved again.Third,the paper does tests on temperature rising and deicing under different conditions. The results indicate that GSIFCON is a fine material used in electroheat.Speed of temperature rising is increased by over 40%when the 3cm thickness insulating layer is fitted at the side and in the bottom of the specimens.Under different negative temperature environment,the power has little influence on the deicing efficiency and the thermal loss,but has a clear influence on the deicing time.Under the same negative temperature environment and the same power,to some extent,the deicing efficiency raises with the increasing of the ice thickness.Fourth,two GSIFCON slabs of 1000cm×2000cm×40cm are manufactured.The experimental results indicate that the thermal energy produced by GSIFCON slab makes snow melt effectively.The electrothermal efficiency for melting snow of the slab with 3 cm thin polyethylene insulting layer can reach above 20%,nearly 5%more than that of the slab without the insulting layer.The application of this technology can solve problems in deicing and snow melting in winter.
