| With the development of automobile industry and road transportation, traffic accident has become a serious problem in the world, so the research on road traffic accident reconstruction is urgent and necessary. In accidents, the car-to-car collision accident is the most serious one. It ends instantly, can not be known in detail by intuition. Therefore, it is urgent to study car-to-car collision accident comprehensively and systematically, and the research also is the academic foundation to analyze and deal with traffic accident.In a traffic accident identification, the most difficult thing is to determine the car speed. The only reliable way to solve the problem is to collect sufficient evidence in time, and then carefully analyze the evidences to make scientific conclusions. However, according the car deformation to calculate the collision velocity is one of the most common method.In this paper, firstly making a brief introduction of three car collision accident reproduction methods. Then over viewing the current methods of how to use the car deformation to calculate the collision velocity, and analyzing the shortcomings in these methods. By analyzing and comparing, then make a decision to use the ballistic equation in this article as a basis.On the base of simulating analysis of frontal collision between a pick-up truck and rigidwall, we make a reasonable model simplification and finite element mesh division, and choose right cell types of every part,the contacting types and welding types for the truck. Then simulating the trucks under the 10 different locations of the center of mass at the speed of 50Km/h and 72Km/h to crash the rigidwall. And having analyzed the laws of the trucks' deformation, the energy absorption of the important parts and crash speed with the center of mass changing. The simulation analysis shows that the location of the center of mass has an effect on the ballistic equation and crash speed calculation , which is not considered will greatly reduce the accuracy of the accident analysis. As a result, researching on the effects of the location of the center of mass will play an important role on solving the difficulty accidents. |
