Under the background of advocating the education of scientific popularization in our society, a rainbow system based on glass microsphere is presented and designed in the paper. This paper researches and introduces the design ideas, structure and function of this system.First,the paper summarizes the background and achievement of rainbow at home and abroad. And it discusses the principle of rainbow, some methods of making artificial rainbow are introduced and analyzed, a rainbow system based on glass microsphere is presented and designed in the paper. And the main work of this paper is introduced.Then, the paper analyses the main factor of influencing rainbow based on glass microsphere, especially refractive index of glass microsphere. The proper refractive index is determined in the experiment. The mechanism of illuminator is also studied. And the differences of the color temperature and spectrum on sun and illuminator are discussed.After that, the structure and function of the integrated system is analyzed and described in this paper. Through researching and comprising of the system, the structure of the system is composed of transfer mechanism, lifting mechanism, rod mechanism and frame. And then confirms each component's function and the primary technology parameters of this system.Lastly, the paper designs appropriate control module for the system. The performance characteristics of the PLC are studied. The PLC control circuit and hydraulic system are established, then the basic control strategy and normative STL of the control method for the system are developed. All of these lay a solid foundation for application of the PLC control to the system successfully in practical industry.
