Research On The Pedestrian Space Design Strategies For The Lake-wetland City In Hot-summer And Cold-winter Zone

The local climatic condition is extreme, while the thermal comfort of outdoors is bad in particularly, so that it influences the pedestrians;meanwhile,Lake-wetland urban environment with significant natural characteristics, which contains rich water environment and wetland plants,provides a natural foundation for the feature of city's pedestrian space.The city's pedestrian space is not only an important part of urban space, but also an important place where people live and communicate with each others. To improve the thermal comfort of outdoors and the suitability of ecological environment,is of great significance for the sustainability of urban construction and the quality of the city's pedestrian space .How to improve the microclimate of city's pedestrian space, while taking into account environmental, social and economic benefits,has become an urgent problem .This paper began from the discussing of climate adaptability and ecology suitability questions in city's pedestrian space of the Lake-wetland city in Hot-summer and Cold-winter Zone, elaborated the related essential factors influencing the city's pedestrian space: The shading space of sidewalk, the inerface of pedestrian space ,the sitting and resting place, the water environment and wetland plants .Through investigating the construction of Wuhan's pedestrian space,and combining with the domestic and international successful cases ,the paper puts forword the pedestrian strategies with climate adaptability and ecological suitability. In this foundation,the paper analyses from three levels : region greenway system ,region pedestrian space and region pedestrian eviroment ;and at last proposes the particular design strategies of city's pedestrian space for Sixin area of Wuhan.This paper mainly used research techniques as deductive, the social investigation, and the example analysis ,the conclusion has the positive significance to the design strategies of city's pedestrian space of the Lake-wetland city in Hot-summer and Cold-winter Zone, it provides evidences and references for the next relating research, as well as new design methods for urban planners and architects.
