This article first reviews the history of the development of diesel engines, briefs the development survey of diesel engines at home and abroad. Then introduces the diesel engine's fuel system on the role, composition and working processes, and focuses on introduction of role, composition and working principle of the injection pump and injector, and then leads up to the need of testing injector, and analysis the status of the injector test rig at home and abroad .The article focuses on separate introduction of two test rigs formed with two kind of pressures sources ( hydraulic supercharger and high-pressure hydraulic pump ),and separate analyzes the advantages and disadvantages, the final chooses a more reasonable pressure source - high pressure plunger pump. The sealing pressure of the injector has surpassed 32MPa, which involves the ultra-high pressure hydraulic technology. The article briefly introduces the ultra-high pressure hydraulic technology and the chosen seal method. The article also briefly introduces the pressure sensitive technologies, and the choice of the pressure sensor. In order to solve the flow control problem under the ultra-high pressure, a speed control valve has been specially designed. The article has carried on a more detailed introduction to the developing process of the speed control valve. In order to achieve the injector's sprayed and sealed detection function, a special instrumentation has been designed for the injector test rig. The article has a brief introduction on the working principle and the developing process of the instrumentation. The article finally introduces emerging issues in the developing process of the electric injector atomization test rig, and the corresponding solutions, and so on.
