In recent year, hybrid seismic test method of structure is a new tentative idea on dynamic structure test, which combine shaking table test with pseudo-dynamic test and can solve the difficulties in the previous research of large scale or special shaped structures.In hybrid test, the whole structure is divided into test substructure and analysis substructure. The test model is only test substructure that is excited by the actuator and shaking table working together. The role of analysis substructure is played by a series of actuator. Essentially, the function of the actuator to test model is "earthquake wave" as well, which is the same as shaking table. Of course, the action is deduced from structure dynamics theories. Thereupon, the first key point and difficulty is how to condense degree-of-freedom (DOF) of analysis substructure. Another key point and difficulty is how to simulate the boundary between the test substructure and the analysis substructure.In the first place, bringing dynamic condensation method and component mode synthesis to hybrid test, we will condense DOF of analysis substructure into DOF of the connecting boundary between test substructure and analysis substructure. Then using principle of force equilibrium and displacement coordination, we could set up the dynamic equation of test substructure on influence of analysis substructure. Applying Midas Gen analysis programs, several structure models are built in computer. Furthermore, the results of numerical analysis indicate that hybrid test is validity.Basing on theories and methods of this paper, a connected twin-tower structures, which each tower is five-story and single-span frame system, is divided into test substructure and analysis substructure in verification test. The connecting boundaries of test substructure are adjusted, such as additional mass, actuator and so on. The dynamic responses of the amended test substructure agree with the dynamic responses of corresponding parts of the old structure model in the tested loading performances of hybrid test.Accordingly, base on dynamic condensation method of hybrid seismic test method of structure is verified preliminary.
