Design Of Control System For Permanent Magnet Claw Pole Motor With Outer Rotor

Claw pole machine with permanent magnet outer rotor (PMCPM) is a novel structure machine in recent years. The PMCPM is concerned intensively, due to its high torque density and power density, simple structure and brushless, low manufacturing cost and so on. The PMCPM has novel structure, operation theory, performance analysis, which has a significant difference compared with traditional electrical machine. It is lack of relevant research especially about the control system at present. However, there exist some problems to be solved. The research of this paper is carried out around the control system design of PMCPM , three parts are included as following:First, the article many interrelated reference both in China and abroad has sought, what's more the basic operation principle and structure are introduced and the control scheme is determined. Based on the mathematic model of the motor, a simulation control system model under Matlab/Simulink is established. The simulation results are given and The simulation laid the foundation of the actual system.Second, on the basis of simulation, the driver is built based on the AT89C52,which is used specially for the motor control. As the motor is not widely used at present and there is no specialized driver for the motor, so the control system is built base on the brushless control strategy. Double closed loop PI control strategy and encoder sensor which is used for rotor position feedback are adopted in this control system. The software and hardware of the control system are given in detail.At last, In view of the motor has very novel structure and it is hard to install encoder sensor, the second diver is built based on the special IC ML4425.The hardware and parameters are given and the experimental results are also given.
