Perceptions On Aesthetics Of Ceiling Design

Ceiling is one of the three interfaces to define the interior space. As an important part in interior design, it has the significant function to shape the space and advance the spirit in interior space. All these functions are well presented in the art of Chinese ancient'Zaojing'and the western classical ceiling design. However, in the current ceiling design, less concerns has been put in this field. To some extent, misunderstanding have been formed.'Technics are bound to comply with aesthetic laws'. I have got the idea that the ceiling is every important in the practice design , so that I want to reply on the architecture aesthetic theories and some examples of classical ceiling design of all times and in all over the world to analyse and sum up the ceiling's effect, form, characteristic, current misunderstanding and development trend . At the same time, I will use a chapter to consider and study the ceiling design's questions, thinking and solution which have taken place in my practice project. All in all, the aim of this article is try my best to grasp the ceiling art design's rule and method , from skill to conclude the theories, so that we can promote our interior art to a new and splendent ear.
