The dissertation is based on the extended project from the Second and the Eighthsubway of Guangzhou. Using the finite element method and the experimentationmethod, the dissertation investigates the turbulence effect of the ground and soillayers caused by Shield Driven, and the reasons which cause the turbulence effect andwhat roles theyplayin the process. In the experimental part, one tool is used to measure the horizontal displacementof the ground and soil layer, the other is used to measure the settlement. The dissertation uses the most universal nonlinear Finite Element Analysissoftware ABAQUS. The major factors such as the soil nonlinear, the reciprocitybetween soil and lining, supporting pressure, pouring pressure, and so on, are all takeninto account in the process of creating model. The deformation disciplinarian ofdifferent directions of different soil layers and ground as well as the soil around thetunnel was investigated. Investigations indicate that supporting pressure, pouringpressure and the decreased coefficient of rigidity play the important roles in thesimulation. Through the analysis of the excavated parts, the dissertation forecasts theproblem of the unexcavated parts and the results are satisfying. When there arebuildings on the tunnel, the dissertation simulates the buildings by equivalent pressureand analyses the deformation and effect of different landscape orientation foundationsizes. When there are buildings around the tunnel, the dissertation analyses the effectof different position of the buildings. The dissertation also analyses the soildeformation when two paralleling tunnel are excavated one after another certaindistance.
