The segments structure is simplified as plane problem i.e. the transverse and longitudinalcharacteristic are analyzed respectively in many existing theoretical researches. Thisundoubtedly simplified the three-dimensional problem by separating it into two planeproblems. However, the relationship between transverse and longitudinal characteristic failedto be taken into account in the analysis process, and the stress and strain of the lining structurecould not be really reflected as well. Although the segments structure model test has been a lotof research results, but tunnel model in the simulation of transverse joints and longitudinaljoints had some problems, it makes the tunnel model is difficult to accurately reflect the stressand strain of the prototype tunnel.Based on the similar theory, model test similarity relation is deduced. According tomodel test similarity relation,“pmma and HS-301welding wire” are chose as model material.Aiming at the problem that the joint of shield-driven tunnel is lack of similarity, a new tunnelmodel, which has the same structure as the prototype tunnel, is designed. Thus, the problem ofassembling the transverse segment and longitudinal segment of the model and imposing thepreload force of bolts can be successfully solved.There are three types of segment rings, which are non-staggering installation pattern,staggering installation pattern, partly continuous pattern. Based on the transverse structuremodel test of segment of shield-driven tunnel, the rules of the internal force and deformationof segment rings are analyzed. The exact range and variation of the effective transversebending rigidity ratio is obtained. It is found that the increasing of the bolt preload force canimprove the transverse bending rigidity significantly.There are three types of segment rings, which are non-staggering installation pattern,staggering installation pattern, continuous pattern. Based on the longitudinal structure modeltest of segment of shield-driven tunnel, the rules of the internal force and deformation ofsegment rings are analyzed. Increasing the transverse bending rigidity cannot effectivelyimprove the longitudinal bending rigidity, while the assembling effect of longitudinal segmentcan enhance the transverse bending rigidity effectively.
