Simulating random movement of sea wave in the wave basin and making research into the action of sea wave on coastal and offshore structures could provide the reliable basis for engineering design and scientific experimentation.The multi-directional wave maker is the key problem for the realization of the physical model test.This paper introduces the actuality and development trend of technology of developing wave maker.Introduces various important component of the servo control system.Go deep into the research of key technologies of the servo control system and control strategies and controller's adjuster design.According to the project's requirements and feature,select the best type of generating wave and explain the working mechanism.Then design the wave maker control system. composed with a server computer and five control computers.Each control computer has a ZMP controller and each controller controls 32 drives.And accomplish the selection of every component.And expatiate the hardware's wiring and software design of the entire system in detail.Customize the embedded operation system of control computers.Software totally based on the MFC programming platform,accomplished the software programming and configuring of server computer,control computer's software utilize the API function of ZMP controller, accomplished funcition include the choice of move mode and wave make move implement,synchronous control,adjuster choosing,troubleshooting,homing and so on.Achieved the communications software design using Winsock interface based on MFC programming platform,achieve the target of the data transformation between the service and the client.Finally,display the project's debugging and acceptance results.Combined with a Multidirectional Irregular wave maker control system,expatiate the application of ZMP motion controller and communication protocol—SynqNet in wave maker control system.Because of the ZMP and SynqNet,the multi-directional wave maker has a high performance,high synchronization and simply wiring.It is the first application in this field with motion controller and servo motor in nation.
