Opioid peptides can be released from the central nervous system by transcutaneous electrical acupoint nerve stimulation of identified frequencies, thereby exerting analgesic effect. However, if the quantity of the opioid peptide is too high, the body will create some substance to antagonize against the opioid peptide.In this way, persistent stimulation will weaken the analgesic effect, which is called tolerance.With the rapid development of modern bio-medical instrument and advanced electronic technology, the research and development of medical instrument is heading for the direction of micromation, intelligence level, and portability. The system in my paper is base on the theory above. We use the chip of S3C44B0 produced by Co. Samsung to achieve the assignment of system control, the management of peripheral devices, the attemperment of memory, and the abnormal examination of output, etc. The module generating therapy impulse includes the boosted circuit and the output-modulated circuit. The main chip in this part adopts the CPLD, LC4064-75100C produced by Co. Lattice, and generates switch signal to control the voltage, as well as therapy impulse signal in a certain frequency, and therefore the system can get quick response, accurate wave, as well as little disturbance. Particularly, the output-modulated circuit combines the physiological character of human's reaction to low-frequency electrical stimulation. We use superior dynatron to produce double-direction pulse, which positive pulse alternates with negative one, to prevent the phenomenon like the polarization of tissue. This circuit solves the problems just like high-frequency distortion from output transformer, as well as huge volume problems, which both exist in traditional circuits.According to recent research that music therapy is propitious to the release of endorphin, our system has another function——music broadcast. The S3C44B0 IIS bus interface can be used to implement a CODEC interface to an external 8/16-bit stereo audio CODEC IC. IIS bus interface provides DMA transfer mode for FIFO access. The whole circuit is easy to design and cost little.The whole system has been tested for many times and is proved reliable. However, this system is still on trial, and the curative effect of abirritation on cancer therapy needs further study.
