With the rapid enhancing of the level of hydro-generator unit's design,manufacture,materials,technology ,capacity-creasing rebuilding of the old hydro-generator unit,resolving intrinsic shortage and long-standing problems of running and proper capacity-creasing associating with rebuilding is the way of small investment and quick effectiveness.Gezhouba P.P is the plant of designing in 1970s and commissioning in 1980s. With the long running of more than 20 year,updating of the technology and capacity-increasing of equipment is necessary. The capacity-increasing rebuilding of Gezhouba hydro-generator unit has discussed and researched for long time. The whole thinking is to mending the part of hydro-generator vane,improving performance and enhancing efficiency without replacing. Because of the limitation of machine-seat size ,rated water-head,rated voltage and rotating parts ,generator was taken new technology measures and updated stator-magnet,stator-loops,rotating-loops to enhance the power of the generator . The key of capacity-increasing is to controlling the increasing temperature and the circumfluence of stator-stick. The paper has summarized,analyzed and compared earnestly the experiment result to prove the necessary of capacity-increasing rebuilding of the Gezhouba 3rd generator and the final success. The paper has analyzed and summarized the technology of fixing hydro-generator unit's capacity increasing center ,installing of stator-stick and the construct of stick overlap slices,structure of state stick-groove and insulating box of the top of stick.Increasing capacity and rebuilding of the Gezhouba 3rd hydro-generator unit has increased the load capacity from 125MW to 146MW since MAY,2006. The hydro-generator unit runs steadily,which achieved the expectant rebuilding purpose and success.
