Subway have important significance for human development,programming and construction of city .Subway of Hangzhou is not a simple vehicle either a room achieved in function according to tradition,have grate significance of urbanism and modernization, deeply touches the city's spirit, this effect depends further on the design of subway stations It needs a carrier as well as subway stations to incarnate visual announcement of Hangzhou.This disquisition dissertates the source and meaning of localization design, spread the thinking of culture's extension and intension, also it studies two improper ideology aim at localization design and animadvert on them, elucidate localization' road begin with three structures of culture. Then, it discusses the relationship between product and localization design, also the application of localization design from the point to semiotics, and introduces culture's value to extension and intension of design production. Also it explains minutely two functions of design symbol: transmit culture and aesthetic function, coding rules,factor and process to achieve the two functions are traversed, too.This disquisition advances some evidence to localization design in Hangzhou, from two lays of culture: time and space, as well as history and landscape to research. Hangzhou's city impression is also a springhead of localization design. Because Hangzhou's city impression is too feminine, so we remedy it with design. Finally, we design concretely the public establishment of Hangzhou subway station according to semiotics methodology and character and impression of Hangzhou's culture.
