The Study On Urban Spatial Development Of Tangshan City

The study on urban space is one of the important foundations, which can help to guide a healthy urban development. Nowadays, China is in a period of rapid urbanization and economy development. With the increase of urban population, urban areas expand quickly. Consequently, there is a fast urban space evolution mainly made by urban sprawl and urban restructure. In view of these and the deficiency of research on regional center cities, the thesis selects Tangshan, Hebei Province as a case study, turns space evolution into a breakthrough point, analyzes the basic conditions of space development, concludes urban morphological evolution, and reveals the temporal and spatial characteristics of urban space development. Then, on this basis, the thesis uses qualitative and quantitative analysis method, establishes the mathematical model, exhibits the evolution course of Tangshan city space.The thesis is divided into seven parts altogether. The first part of introduction, mainly elaborate the basic concept and the research tendency of domestic and international urban spatial development, the research region, the background, the significance, the method, the idea and framework of the thesis. The second part of theory foundation, mainly introduce the relative city development theories. The third part is the history of Tangshan city space evolution, on the basis of introducing the development survey and the spatial development evolution of Tangshan city, focus on and sum up the regularity and characteristics of urban spatial evolution, meanwhile, analyze factors which influence the spatial development. The fourth part is the space development's basic condition of Tangshan city, analyze the region environment which locates, summarize Tangshan's region and the functional localization, and finally induce the superiority condition and the restriction factor of urban space development. The fifth part is general situations of Tangshan urban spatial structure, mainly focus on the external liaison and urban spatial structure. The sixth part is the morphological evolution of Tangshan city space development, on the basis of urban morphological evolution, analyzes characteristics of urban spatial morphology and the temporal and spatial changes, function, and concludes the problems of urban space morphological evolution. The seventh part is space development of Tangshan city, through the qualitative analysis, obtains that urban-economic development, non-agricultural population increase, transportation development, zone construction are main driving forces in the Tangshan city space development; Through the quantitative analysis, obtains that urban spatial morphology tends regularization and compact. Through the mathematical model establishment, display the regularity of urban spatial development of Tangshan.
