Water pollution from sewage aboard ships is too severe with the rapid development of marineindustry to be ignored. As a big country with ocean, shiping, sailors and harbors and shipbuilding, it is necessary to study and carry on the pollution control from sewage aboard ships. It is a important research topic to solve the flowing pollution source, to protect ocean and rivers, to realize the sustainable development of shiping,and also to meet with requirement of the world shipping environmental protection.First, study the characteristics of sewage by quantity and quality, offer data according to the research materials to design and choose sewage treatment plants. By analyzing all kinds of technologies of sewage treatment, it is obvious that SBR has many advantages.Second, illustrate some kinds of typical sewage treatment plants, analyze work characteristics and factors respectively. The ship-owners or managers of ships can choose sewage treatment plants in accordance with their own ships, to gain benefits and protect environment.Third, the paper makes an introduction of the approved criteria and procedures of sewage treatment system and ascertain the selection of evaluation guidelines. Based on the analysis of the principles, evidence and influential factors, I have established an evaluation guideline system in my paper for the selection of sewage treatment system. In writing this paper, I have gone through quite an amount of related previous literature and selected the most representative "Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation" to help us choose the best scheme, which is to apply hierarchical analysis method in the multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model. Thus, a mathematical model for sewage treatment system selection has been established. Finally, this paper takes PowerBuilder 9.0 as its developing language and applies SQL Server 2000 in the development of database.
