Adjustable guide hydraulic grab as very important diaphragm wall construction machinery, is widely used in a variety of deep foundation, impervious wall, retaining wall construction and other infrastructure. Because of its complex and changing work loads, its mechanical properties, such as security and reliability, receive much concern. In the process of the diaphragm wall construction machinery's development which has the independent intellectual property rights, the traditional design methods can not fill the require of the actual needs. With the rapid development of computer technology, computer-aided engineering (CAE) technology has become increasingly mature and efficient, as in the development of design work an important means. In this paper comprehensive research and analysis of diaphragm wall at home and abroad, equipment and technology into the wall are carried out, aimed at adjustable guide hydraulic grab and control mechanism, use of CAE simulation technology, through kinematics and dynamics simulation analysis to determine the risk conditions of grab mechanism, accordingly, the analysis of modal structural strength, stability analysis of adjustable guide hydraulic grab and control mechanism are carried out.It is described in details from the following aspects:First, the working principle and the structural characteristics as well as domestic and international developments of the diaphragm wall grab are analyzed.Secondly, geotechnical excavation mathematical model of the mechanism of hydraulic grab is studied.Thirdly, taking the three-dimensional software to SolidWorks as a platform, we create the adjustable guide hydraulic grab devices 3D model. In COSMOS/Motin, multi-body dynamics simulation software, the works of digging cutting device kinematics and dynamics simulation analysis are analyzed. The most dangerous working conditions of hydraulic grab is ascertained according as the simulation results as the boundary conditions and the Grab devices Finite Element Analysis of static strength and modal analysis are carried out in COSMOS/Works environment. Finally, reliable analysis of adjustable guide hydraulic grab control mechanism is carried out, and then fatigue intensity of pin and pinion belonging to control mechanism is check-out. The result indicates the design of pin and pinion is safe and reliable.
