With the development of science and technology,the power system voltage level is continuously improving,and this pair of power systems of various electrical equipment requirements also rises.Voltage transformers in the power system play measurement and protection function,this paper mainly targeted at JDZ - 27.5W2-voltage transformer,its insulation analysis find effective ways to improve so that the electric field intensity decreased peak thereby reducing the requirements for insulation.First,the present situation and development of the voltage transformer are introduced in this paper.Then,adopting virtual prototype design technique,this paper uses Ansoft Maxwell 3D/2D which is analysis software of engineering electromagnetic field to calculate and analyze insulation performance of the voltage transformer,research voltage transformer distribution of the electric field and put forward many modified methods to improve the insulation performance.Considering the technical and economic indicators of the voltage transformer,aiming to reduce the cost and the size of voltage transformer,strengthen the insulation reliability, the paper proposes many improved methods,for example,changing the internal structure of transformer,adding material to winding,Single-winding,adding both pressure rings, and emulates and calculates the electric field by the ways mentioned above,determines the optimal design method at last.The design method presented in this paper has been applied to manufacturers.It can reduce cost on research,greatly shorten the development cycle and reduce testing costs, enhance product reliability,has good economic and social benefits.
