First this paper discusses the research and application of optimization technology at home and abroad, then gives the development trend of lightweight frame structure, finally carries structure optimize design and finite element analysis by using modern optimize technology and finite element methods, to achieve the purpose of reducing weight and meet indicators of static and dynamic properties.Carry truck frame design of two-ton single strip by using HyperWorks software. Firstly, establish frame design space, determine displacement boundary and load conditions, identify various conditions in a moving car of full load. Secondly, regard reducing the frame weight as object function, Using the stiffness and frequency of frame as constraint conditions, to get 2d and 3d topology optimization results that meets all constraint conditions by calculation. Thirdly, abstract the 3d topology result and analysis the actual frame model. Fourthly, extract the mid-surface of frame model under the premise of meeting all indicators, use shell element and the same boundary condition and optimization parameters as topology optimization, Carry size optimization by regarding frame vertical and horizontal beam thickness as design variables. Finally, get the specific frame size and do finite element analysis on the frame model.This paper used the conceptual design method of topology optimization to get material distribution of frame that meets various indicators. Abstract the frame model and carry size optimization design to get the global optimal solution in the design space. It gives the reference and design basis of frame and the specific design route of frame, provides a good reference for a similar study.
