Nowadays there is an increasing construction of university campus in our country. With the growth of higher education itself, however, the development which is emphasizing on quantity when constructing, must be substituted by the tendency of improving quality in the future. Therefore in order to enhance spacial value, it is of great importance to study on the morpha of building cluster. The dissertation takes the building cluster on the construction of modern university campus as the core of the study for the purpose of making a deep study on the university campus construction in a unique view, finding out a development direction for the construction of university campus in China, and achieves the overall goal of campus construction. Moreover, it aims to establish the campus design process that is suitable to the actual situation and has the common significance of guidance, enrich the theoretical study on the university campus, and guide the macro practical operation.The research on the education building clusters which were built in new university campuses in China. On one hand, the achievements in these 20 years can be obviously seen. Higher building standard, increasingly significant public open space, more complicated contents, the variety of special composition, all these led the great changes which have taken place in the morpha of building cluster. But, on the other hand, the problems exciting in it can't be neglected. Altough it is unavoidable for architectural group to augment its special size, the excessive effort on form have resulted in such situation. Space lacks of arrangement and it's hard for people to feel it, say nothing of to control it. Besides, the sharp compression of construction cycle and the deficiency of design time, make architects have little time to deeply consider details in company with primary relationship, ulteriorly confine them to create particular temperament for it. Accordingly, scarcity of organic character and disappearance of cultural spirit are the doubtless facts in many new university campuses. Facing to such situation, the paper brings forward the integrated design conception. Furthermore, it gives the suggestion that how architects and other social strength to make their efforts.The paper consists of four chapters, which are arranged in the order of analyzing actuality, putting forward the main questions and answering them. In the first place, the paper discusses the characteristic meaning in the morpha of building cluster, which stands in university campus. Then its development and transformation are analyzed, moreover the elements which have effected on them are revealed. Finally the paper narrates the urgent problems which should be solved and gives a clear answer to them. The first is an introduction of the whole paper. It explains the theme and introduces something important to the study, such as the origin, the background, the meaning, the theoretical basis and the main frame. And then describes the three important characteristic connotations. Among the abundant connotation of morpha, noumenon correspondence and contradiction are the most crucial points. Consequently, the study of morpha is founded on these basements. The 3rd chapter research on the relationship of entity and space in the building cluster with contrastive method. Having reviews on the campuses on the spot and collected relative information in other ways, the paper sums up the main aspects of them. The 4th chapter is concentrating on the integrated design method on morpha of building cluster. On the base of pointing out the status, such as truss, texture, arrangement, interface and concourse, the ideal morpha is given, furthermore the duty of architects and other social strength is seriously proclaimed.
