Study On Lane Change Behavior Character And Its Influence To Traffic Safety

Lane change is a kind of drive behavior which is frequent occurrence when vehicles running, especially at the complex traffic condition of urban road, drivers often change lane for their higher speed, so there are many characteristics of lane change about our country's urban road. Because there will have conflict points during lane change, lane change will reduces the security of traffic system, easy to initiate accidents and make economic losses. It's necessary to definite the influence of lane change characteristic to traffic safety, then find pertinent way to solve it.This paper researches on lane change and starts from behavior science, using behavior science theory to study the behavioral trait of lane change at our country urban road from the aspects of person by symbolic statistical, model derivation, concluding and summarizing, and so on. This paper also analyzes the influence of the classical characteristic to traffic safety by conflict theory.This paper quantificational analyzes the relation of reflection, notion, reaction and lane change time, this paper also calculates the hope-speed of different type drivers and analyzes the mentality of breaking rule and regulation, then the average bust ratio of different sex and age segment at each phase of lane change is given. Lane change behavior can not depart from traffic environment, so this paper studies on the lane change characteristics of composition of vehicle types, especially the mini-type vehicles, the characteristic of lane change at exit or entrance of multiple-lane road, researching on the critical traffic flow value when lane change behavior can occur respective from the aspects of composition of vehicle types, lane number and traffic flow. This paper also analyzes the influence of the classical characteristic to traffic safety by conflict theory, then gives some suggestion, at last this paper analyzes several accidents which have classical characteristic.By the research of this paper, the characteristic of lane change based on behavior science is given by analysis, then this paper gives the types and phase of lane change, the average lane change using time of different sex and age segment at our country urban, bringing forward the notion of lane change frequency degree, getting the characteristic of Texi changes lane frequently, giving the characteristic of vehicle bull lane change at exit or entrance of multiple-lane road by derivation of lane change efficiency model, the characteristic of vehicle contends to change lane at instable traffic flow is given by statistic and analysis of the critical traffic flow value when lane change behavior can occur.
