Generator power system is an important part of the power generating units through the transmission and distribution equipment transported to the user, for industrial and agricultural production and people's lives to provide electricity. As society's increasing demand for electricity and scientific and technological development, more and more power systems use large-capacity generating units.When the generator groups, particularly large-capacity unit accidents outage, the power system to reduce the generation capacity, reserve capacity be reduced, a direct impact on the reliability of the power system. If we can not maintain the load and generating capacity of the balance between the power grids will change the frequency, or even lead to the collapse of the power system, a large area blackout. At the same time, accidents such as short-circuit, often severely damaged power generation equipment. All these will cause significant economic losses and social impact.Maintenance of generators and power system reliability is closely related to a major impact on the power system. Therefore, in considering the power system reliability problems, we must also consider the issue of maintenance unit. With the growing power systems, more and more relevant factors, the maintenance plan for generating units also more complex, relying on artificial arrangements Maintenance Unit has been unable to meet the requirements of the development, in recent years undertaken a number of generating units planned overhaul of optimization.Now widely used optimization unit overhaul plans, such as equal reserve capacity methods, such as levelize Risk methods. Although equal reserve capacity methods, and other basic principles of simple, but can not fully guarantee system reliability of the greatest periods; such as levelize Risk methods, but can not guarantee the accuracy of the original data, the results often there is a gap between the actual operations. In solving, introduced a mathematical optimization and heuristic methods, in view of the problem with mathematical optimization method to limit the scale of power grids, are not yet ripe, the choice of heuristic methods to solve. Reliability Index algorithm using random production of advanced simulation in principle function of the equivalent of electricity, has made a more satisfactory results.In this paper, the actual production of services from the point of view, with the actual situation in Shandong power system, consider the actual operation of a number of constraints, the choice of reserve capacity of generating units overhaul plan optimization process, introduced the optimization of procedures and the principles of flow chart. Finally application of the procedures in Shandong power system generating units overhaul plan for the optimization, calculated each year periods system reliability. The results met the actual system in the operation of various constraints, through iterative calculations, to further optimize the overhaul of units planned.
