Once an electrical machine has been general assembled according to a certain procedure, its'main parameters must be detected following to the industry or national standards. Although different automatic detection system for electrical machine has its own advantages and disadvantages and application scope, there are two points common for them. Firstly, only one type of machine can be tested at one detect procedure. Secondly, only one machine can be tested at a certain time.In order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the test result, a computer is used to control the temperature-rise, voltage, current, power and other parameters of a single-phase AC induction motor in real time. Here, the temperature-rise is measured using live-winding temperature detector, and advanced power module is adopted to collect and transmit the electrical parameters. High-performance IPC is used as a upper-machine to control the start/stop of every work place, the data acquisition of temperature, the measurement of power, current, cold and hot state resistance, with the functions of real-time monitoring, parameter setting, data save & query, and printing report form. The configure, with high reliability, of PLC-Intelligent Instrumentation Smart Module is used as under-site, responsible for the field functions of logic control, data collection and so on.According to the demands of control, an itinerant switching work mode has been designed, where one charged winding temperature tester examines eight motors in turn. The system hardware and software has been designed also, including the selection and configuration of the IPC, PLC, charged winding tester and DAQ modules for electrical parameters. The system hardware wiring diagram is proposed, and the PLC address allocation, PLC ladder diagram and flowchart design are completed. The upper-side monitoring screen is configured, through which the experimented motor can be monitored, and the real-time and historical trends for electrical parameters may be observed and printed, and report forms can be automatically generated. The system also has the real time alarm functions for abnormal currents and break fault detection of thermocouple. The communication between upper and lower machines is fulfilled in the VB6.0 environment under a certain communication protocol.
